I have been particularly grieved lately. The Body of Christ likes to devour each other. For a group that is called to love, we are very quick to attack each other. Here is what I believe the Lord shared with me this morning. I hope it edifies and encourages and liberates you from feeling the need to operate in the “flesh” and to be more like the Son of God. Its fleshly to argue and easy to fall into that trap. We feel justified but the Son of God operated very differently and He is our example.
Here is what I heard from God today….
“Keep quiet when others argue. This is a fleshly cyclone of distraction. You will begin to see how this is a fleshly endeavor. The flesh loves to feast on the food it can produce. It brings instant satisfaction but leaves my Spirit out of the pattern.
THE SON OF GOD DID NOT JUSTIFY HIS SPEECH IN A FLESHLY WAY. HE SPOKE AS THE FATHER LED HIM. IF HE ARGUED IN THE FLESH HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE SON FROM HEAVEN.
Instead He did what pleased His Heavenly Father. Be content and do not argue. This can open the maneuvers of the enemy to catch you in the flesh and then leverage that moment against you. The enemy could NEVER gain access to the SON. He had no leverage in the Son. There was no METHOD to get Him in a fleshly way.
THE SON WAS RADIANT EVERY MOMENT. Through submission and meekness He walked on the Earth and the enemy had nothing to point to. The accuser had nothing to work with from the behavior of the Son.
REMAIN MEEK-IN-THE-SON.
Remain in the Spirit. Remain in the dwelling spaces the Father gives you to embrace Him and fellowship the Godhead. The anointing will come on the people that can submit to the Fathers methods and not work in the flesh. Should you bite and devour one another like the Scriptures warn you? (Meaning not to be that way.)
(Here is the passage that includes that warning. Galatians chapter 5:15, from the NIV.)
"13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[c] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other."
The sons that wrestle in the flesh to get what they want will always need that way of operate to get their desired outcome.
DO NOT BITE AND DEVOUR.
Is this not a feeding on each another? Is this spiritual feeding Godly? Is it healthy?
This is a warning to those who love to argue.
Take the humble path. Seek the Father and pray for one another that love would be greater in your operation than your desire to correct.
Should my children be like the world and rely on arguments to "show" they are correct?
Will the fleshly method be the primary method in my children's life?
GROW UP AND BE LED BY ME NOT YOUR FLESH.
THE ANSWER IS SPIRIT LED LIVING, NOT WHAT THE TONGUE CAN CONVINCE SOMEONE ELSE TO BELIEVE?
Did the Son argue in the flesh?
Were his words, the way of this kind of method?
Did he rely on ways outside the Father to get the Father's will done?
He did not do that.
I AM ALIVE AND CAN ENABLE YOU TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE.
MY SPIRIT CAN LEAD YOU AND HELP YOU OPERATE LIKE THE SON DID.
Amen and so be it.
